Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 Departure Europe/USA – Arrive Delhi:
Meet our tour-leader at the international airport departure terminal in Europe/USA and board premium airline, economy class flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, traditional welcome and meet local staff at the Indira Gandhi International airport; transfer and overnight in hotel.

Day 02 In Delhi – Sightseeing:
Morning after breakfast proceed for the sightseeing of Delhi, we visit the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Presidents House, Parliament House etc. In the evening transfer to the Railway Station to catch the night train to Bikaner. Overnight in the train (sleeper).

Day 03 Arrive Bikaner – Sightseeing:
Arrive Bikaner early in the morning. Check in at the hotel. Wash up, change and after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Bikaner. Today we will visit the unusual Junagarh Fort; unlike all the major forts in Rajasthan, which are on hilltops, this one was built on the desert plain itself; visit also the National Camel Breeding Farm and see the spectacular desert sunset in the background. In the evening visit the local market to watch the busy and interesting Indian market. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 04 Bikaner drive Panchoo and short Camel Safari to Camp I:
Morning drive Bikaner to Panchoo (75 km, about 2 hours drive), en route visit to Deshnok Rat Temple, (called Karni Mata Temple), which is 30 km from Bikaner. After the sightseeing of the Rat Temple, we will drive further to the place where we will meet our Camel Safari Crew in Thar Desert.
Here we start the short safari of today, we go through the small the flower bazaar early in the morningtribal villages. We will be very close to the unique Rajasthani culture/desert life. People are very simple, sincere and hard working. We can watch the tough life of the local people. The traditional life style of the Rajasthani people is an experience in itself to see. Camp fires, song and dance, candle light dinners under open sky in the desert will be part of the daily routine at the camping place. Overnight in Camp I.

Day 05 Camel Safari 1:
Early morning after sun rise, we can have a beautiful view of the impressive sand dunes in desert. Then after breakfast we proceed further to explore the desert life, and will meet the local people and might be able to share their thoughts and enjoy their hospitality. We will have hot lunch some where on the sand dunes, and after lunch our caravan will move towards our next camp. Overnight in the Camp II.

Day 06 Camel Safari 2:
Morning after breakfast our camels will be ready and will be waiting for us to proceed further to explore the culture of Rajasthan.rajasthani_singers on our tours On our way we might be meeting some shepherds, some local people, who are working in their Dhanees (local name of the desert house). Five to six hours of camel safari through the Desert will take us to a different world on each passing day. We take hot lunch as usual and will approach the next camp. Overnight in the Camp III.

Day 07 Camel Safari 3:
Morning after breakfast, we again proceed for the next camp. Our caravan will pass through sand dunes. We can have beautiful photographs all day long from sunrise till sunset. We can see some wild animals, like Deer, Neelgai, Sambar etc. Overnight in the Camp IV.

Day 08 Pholodi – Jaisalmer:
Morning after breakfast, we have a short camel safari for about one and a half hour to end it at Pholodi. Our vehicles will be waiting here for pick up. We drive from Pholodi to Jaisalmer (175 km about 5 hours drive). On arrival in Jaisalmer, check in at the hotel. Rest of the time at leisure. Overnight in hotel.

Day 09 In Jaisalmer – Sightseeing:
Jaisalmer, the erstwhile a strategic city on the camel trade route between India and central Asia and the Fort serving as a museum. There are homes and hotels hidden in the laneways, and shops and stalls are swaddled in the kaleidoscopic mirrors andthe Alwar palace embroideries of brilliant Rajasthani cloth. Visit also the Jain Temple, Laxminath Temple, Patwon-ki-Haveli, Salim Singh-ki-Haveli, Nathmal-ki-Haveli, camel ride at Khuri. The Havelies were finely sculpted sandstone buildings built by the wealthy merchants of Jaisalmer and are still in good condition. Overnight in hotel.

Day 10 Jaisalmer – Jodhpur:
Morning drive Jaisalmer to Jodhpur (280 km about 7 to 8 hours drive) another princely state before independence. On arrival in Jodhpur, check in hotel and after wash up and change proceed for sightseeing of Jodhpur. Visit the Museum in Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant Thada, and the crowning and imposing Mehranagarh Fort. From here a spectacular view of the city and suburbs from the battlements of the fort. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11 Jodhpur – Ranakpur – Mount Abu:
Morning drive Jodhpur to Mt Abu (320 km) a long driving day via Ranakpur. Here we visit the largest Jain Temple which was built in 1439. This huge superbly crafted and well kept marble temple has 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars, no two of which are alike. On arrival in Mt Abu, check in, dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 12 In Mt Abu – Sightseeing:
Morning proceed for sightseeing of Mt Abu, the only hill station of Rajasthan, is also one of impressive  a fine proud rajputgrandeur and scenic beauty. The gigantic blocks of rocks, along the crest of the hill, are especially very striking. We visit Dilwara Temple, Nakki Lake with it's fascinating natural rock formations, Kirti Stamb, Rana Kumbha’s Palace. We return in the evening for dinner. Overnight in hotel.

Day 13 Mount Abu – Udaipur:
Morning drive from Mt Abu to Udaipur (190 km, about 4 to 5 hours). On arrival in Udaipur, check in at the hotel. Rest of the time for private, individual activities like shopping, local photography etc. or just at leisure. Overnight in hotel.
